Ten years ago today I married the love of my life!  It’s been the best 10 years of my life and I couldn’t imagine my life without him.  He’s been there through the good and the bad and has backed me up on my decisions.  He is my rock!  Happy anniversary hubby.  I love you!

This week was my hubby’s birthday.  I have such a hard time with masculine cards.  I love to create cute crafty projects and glitz them up.  Cannot do that with a masculine card.  I just bough some Bo Bunny paper so I was excited to give the paper line a try.  I used the Welcome Home Collection.  These papers worked well in my masculine card.  I kept the lines clean and simple and I resisted the temptation to glitz it up.  I inked up all the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distresser ink.  I cannot say enough how much inking the edges makes to a project look better.  The sentiment on the front of the card is just something I typed up on my laptop and printed on cream cardstock.  I’m very pleased with how it turned out.

Supplies:

  • Designer Paper:  Bo Bunny, Welcome Home Collection
  • Die:  Nestabilities, Lacey Squares
  • Cardstock: Dark chocolate & cream
  • Button & embossing thread
  • Ribbon:  Martha Stewart decorative tape
  • Sentiment on inside of card:  My Favorite Things, Fresh, fun and distinctive clear stamps
  • Adhesives:  ATG & dimensional
  • Ink:  Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distresser, Black Stayz On

When I saw this freebie cut from SVG Cuts, I knew it had my dad’s birthday card written all over it and his birthday is in just a couple weeks.  He loves to fish so this was perfect.  I added the SVG Cuts fishing lure (also a freebie) to the vest also.  I gave the lures more depth by adding feathers to them.  I love how SVG Cuts included a gate card cut with this freebie.  I used Recollections cardstock and I flocked the parts where the lures are with gray Martha Stewart flocking.  Have a totally twisted day!

Kayla loves horses, so  I searched the internet for a super cute digi stamp and I found this one from la-la land crafts.  I absolutely fell in love with it.  I printed it out on my computer and colored it with my Copics.  The mats were cut with my Nestabilities and gave it a nice rustic look.  I’ve been making a lot of swivel charms lately and I had some super cute antique looking western related charms and really wanted to try adding them to a card.  I think it turned out awesome!  The card layout came from My Favorite Things Wednesday Challenge Week 79.  Happy Birthday Kayla!

Thought I’d make a card today using some of my most favorite crafting supplies:  (1) My Scrap Chick svgs, (2) Peachy Keen Stamps, and (3) I am Roses.  This super cute skunk is from My Scrap Chick.  I love their cuts!  I stamped a super cute face on it using a Peachy Keen face assortment stamp.  I recently picked up four new face assortment sets. So I was itching to use one of my new ones.  For the banners, I used a Pepsi can.  Yup, you heard me right.  I cut open an empty, cleaned Pepsi can and use it as my sheet metal.  I Cuttlebugged the Pepsi can metal using a herringbone folder.   I think it turned out cool!  I then topped the banner with some cherry blossoms from I Am Roses.  For the sentiment, I just typed up the saying on my computer and printed it out.  I am entering this in Peachy Keen’s Stamp Challenge 22 and in the Paper Playtime say it with a sentiment anything goes challenge.

Hi everyone!  I’m super excited because my first shipment of I Am Roses came in.  OMG are they beautiful!! I’m definitely putting in another order very soon and I know I’m going to be going thru these flowers like crazy.  I just want to put them on everything.  In fact, I just had to put them on my MTF WSC #70 submission.  Here is the sketch we had to follow.

Here is my card.

Here is a video of my I am Roses Haul and the card.  Enjoy!

I have a really cute card for you today.  The adorable bear snowboarder came from My Scrap Chick.  Isn’t she the cutest!!  The card was created for one of my daughter’s friends who celebrated her 14th birthday.  I was under strict rules from my daughter not to use pink….lol.  This card could easily be converted to a very cute Christmas card.

I used my favorite face stamps – Peachy Keen PK-135 Medium Bear Facial Features.  This card wouldn’t been the same without such a cute face.  I colored in the face with my Copics.  Then I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the snowflakes in a piece of white card stock.  The top and bottom borders are from the DCWV Christmas stack.  I finished it off with some bling.  Enjoy!

My hubby just recently celebrated his birthday while we were on vacation in Vegas.  So, I made him a Vegas birthday card before we left and gave it to him while we were there. The designer paper is from the DCWV Travel stack.  I cut the cards from one of the DCWV papers in the same stack.  The cards are on an Action Wobble.

Hi everyone.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  My youngest daughter had her very first music recital yesterday.  She plays the electric guitar and had a solo.  She did awesome!! She played an Eric Clapton song flawlessly.  I’m so proud of her!!

For part 2 of the Imagine More Cards series I did a quick birthday card.  I’m just loving this cartridge.  You can whip out a card so quickly and they look awesome. It’s great for when I’ve exhaused my card stash and I figure out I have a birthday and not much time to make a card.  Enjoy!
