I’m super excited to show all of you the charms and spell book I made for a charm swap over at Life on the Scrapbeach! Right from the start I knew I wanted to do a spell book as the display for my charms and I wanted the spell book to look really old. It was Tim Holtz distressing ink and a paper lunch bag to the rescue!
Hi everyone. Sorry I’ve been so quiet lately. I’ve been extremely busy with work and getting ready for our home gymnastics meet that I haven’t had much time to craft lately. The meet was a great success and our girls did a great job. Now that the home meet is over, I can get back to normal =) The gym asked if I could design scorebooks for the gymnast gifts. This is what I came up with. The gym moms helped cut and assemble around 200 of them. I’m so grateful for their help! I think this was the most workout my Bind It All has ever had…lol
Yeah, I cannot get that song out of my head now too…lol. Mary over at Cardz TV is having a Cricut’less’ challenge. The challenge is to create a card not using your Cricut but entirely from a paper stack. Wow, now that’s a real challenge. I love my Cricut so it’s hard not to use it on a project. The Paper Cutz challenge this week is to create a card using three patterned papers. The two challenges fit together nicely. So, I’m still lovin Halloween and wanted to create another Halloween card. I took out my paper stacks and really loved the witches potion supplies page. So, I cut a bunch of them out along with some other paper in that stack. Outside of some adhesive, glitter, and ink, this card is entirely made of a paper stack, a black piece of cardstock, and a cream piece of cardstock. This card is all “old school.” Everything was cut using scissors and a paper trimmer — no Cricut, no punches, no Cuttlebug, no dies, no stamps. I just love how this card came out. Thanks Mary for another great challenge.

Peachy Keen is having a “Friday Face Off” challenge where we have to create a container to hold treats and must use a PK face stamp. I was eating some candy corn and thought “hmmmm, I should make a candy corn box.” I used the cake box from the Tie the Knot cart and made it my candy corn. I love it when I can take a cut from one of the cartridges and use it for something it wasn’t meant for.

My very first slider card. Thanks to Everyday Cricut on their demo on how to make a slider card. I’m entering this one into Emma’s Throwback Thursday Challenge. The challenge was to create a card not using a machine i.e. no Cricut, no Cuttlebug, no computer. Wow was that tough! I will try to make a video of this card tomorrow and post it sometime next week.

Mary over at Cartz TV is having another challenge. We had to make a Halloween card using the card feature in one of the Cricut cartridges. No color restrictions. So, immediately I thought of a black and white card. I’ve been looking for an excuse to use my iRock and gems and this was the perfect card to use them with.
I’m also entering this card in the bling & ribbon challenge over at Card Creations & More by C since my tree is all blinged out =)
